Rare durian on sale in Indonesia for $1,343 each

Chance upon this article in ST and was surprised that there are durian selling at S$1342 in a supermarket at Indonesian.
This is way more expensive than any Japan fruits I seen selling in Takashimaya.

JQueen is the name of the breed and according to the owner, the durian tree will bear this fruit once every three years and per harvest will be less than 20 fruits. This is way more expensive than any Japan fruits I seen selling in Takashimaya.

In Singapore, the most expensive durian will be King of King which is a higher grade of MSW. This fruit at most cost S$35/kg which will work out to be around S$87.5 if the fruit is weighing around 2.5kg.

However, my personal number choice of durian will be Tekka which I named it as Queen of durian. Do not mistaken It as Queen of fruits as some of my friends told me the Queen of fruits is mangosteen.

Tekka or Green Bamboo
